IU students can appeal an RPS charge on their Indiana University bursar account through the Housing Appeals portal. Additional documentation may be needed.

All first-year undergraduate students are required to live in university housing for at least two semesters. In some instances, you may be eligible to request an exemption. Review exemption eligibility standards at the RPS website.

Students may submit an exemption request at the Housing Appeals portal.

Students can apply to a living-learning community or request assignment to a thematic community on their housing application. Visit the RPS website for information about all our learning community options.

Students with a medical or physical concerns that will affect their housing assignment, with their attending physician must complete and return the Medical Verification Form. Request a copy of the Medical Verification Form.

Completed forms received before May 1, 2021, will receive priority. Forms received after this date may not be reviewed.
